Pinterscope, July 29, 2012

So, I hate fennel.  I hate fennel and anise and above all else, cilantro.  I especially hate people who pronounce cilantro as “Seeelllahntrrrro”.  That said, maybe today’s Pinterscope is about trying stuff again.  Who knows, maybe I’ll like fennel. Today, for instance, I found myself working on a lace knitting project (lace?  I used to hate it!) and thought to myself at about 20 rows in, “I can’t wait to see what this looks like after I block it.”  Huh?  Three years ago, if you’d told me I’d look forward to blocking — or even weaving in ends, which is now a love of mine, too–I would have thought you were crazy.  Yet, here I am today, pulling out the blocking boards and wires on the regular and loving it.  Change is good, sometimes.

I’m going to try to remember that as I get ready for the work week.  Happy Sunday!
