I remind myself regularly to trust and have faith that things are going to work out in my life, if I do my best and follow my heart. So, it’s interesting to me that I can’t do the same thing — the trusting–when it comes to KALs. (<–Knit-A-Longs) I mean, okay, there’s a pattern and I know how to read patterns — hell, I write them and sell them all the time — but, when you only get 1/8th or 1/4th of the pattern sent to you every week for a KAL, I gotta say, it makes a sister nervous.
Thanks be there are super knitters on Ravelry who are doing the KAL, too…and posting pictures. My faith was tested when I read this: “Purl 1, DROP THE NEXT STITCH AND UNRAVEL TO THE CAST ON EDGE. I mean, I almost lost my mind.
I opened up the Ravelry site and am thankful that knitters posted their works in progress. It gave me the courage to drop and unravel. We’ll see what happens. I’m not super-happy with my color choices — they looked awesome when I was in the store picking them out, but when you don’t know how they’re going to be deployed in the pattern, it’s a gamble, for sure. We’ll see, we’ll see. I’m just going to keep trusting.
