Or, maybe a boss. I’m finding that when I don’t have to be at work to do my work, I need a plan. These last two days have been a blessing — no rushed dog walks, no skipping the gym, time for lunch outside at the farmers’ market with good, fresh food. But let’s get real — this can’t continue. I’m getting stuff done, but way less efficiently than I’d like. Between pattern-writing, putting together reading lists and course materials, doing work-work and trying to stay on the 4-hour body plan (I need some potatoes like now!) it’s kind of hard.
In my search for some tools to help keep me on track, here’s some interesting help I found that I thought I’d share:
TeuxDeux is great for to-do lists. I especially like that you get to cross stuff off, just like IRL.
This is a great idea — printable, recyclable, customizable. I love paper (and polar bears, which makes me one conflicted mo-fo), and find it easier to see what I’ve got going on all at once, which makes this a good choice for me.
I just signed up for this one right now, so the jury is still out, but it’s great that it’s cross-platform, and that it’s available via Chrome app. We’ll see!
And, lastly, this article — not a tool, but some food for thought when it comes to being more productive.
